The HUAC testified many people throughout the 1950s. The Hollywood Ten, ten screenwriters and directors, accused the committee of violating their rights, but, as a result, they were blacklisted. The blacklist eventually died down in the 60s, but it still impacted the lives of many individuals in the film industry.
