THE HOLLYWOOD TEN
were ten media workers who refused to
testify at the HUAC hearing. They accused the committee of violating their rights, more specifically the First Amendment, which allows individuals the right to belong to any political organization they chose to be a part of. The Hollywood Ten also compared the hearing to the cruel measures enacted in Nazi Germany.
